We are yet to meet anyone who doesn't enjoy food or for that matter, anyone who doesn't enjoy talking about food. Ultimately, sensory research boils down to the discussion of food and drinks but in an extremely rigorous and scientific way. It isn't so much a conversation than an interrogation of the very nature of the item.

SENSORY RESEARCH

Sensory research comes with very specific methodology considerations.

We don't want to alarm you but sensory research can be complicated and has many more considerations than other types of research. From facility considerations, mode of measurement to the sample design and product handling and storage and much more.

Our expertise in innovation and new product development (as well as our backgrounds in Science) has meant that we bring years of sensory testing experience that understands all of these important methodology considerations and can create a sensory test that is just what you need. 

Whether it be our Sensory Check methodology, fully customised, central location sensory, in-home usage or new product development workshops, we have a senosry testing methodology to suit your needs.

Sensory Check

Our omnibus style sensory evaluation is available once a month and allows companies to share the often high cost of sensory testing.

 

It is ideal when you don't need a full scale sensory study or only have a couple of products that you need to get a quick sense check on.

 

You can ask up to 10 closed questions per product and will receive a report with data and analysis of all key sensory attributes tested.

We guarantee a minimum sample size of N = 50, up to a maximum of N = 80 per product, however no recruitment criteria will be placed on the respondents beyond non-rejection of the category. Standard demographics are included free of charge.

Category incidence of at least 65% required to achieve maximum sample size.

Products that require additional preparation (eg. heating) incur an additional handling fee.

Unfortunately due to constraints with COVID-19, our Sensory Check methodology is currently on hold as an omnibus style solution. We hope to get it up and running again in 2023.
